1. About the SCA Packaging Design Challenge
The SCA Packaging Design Challenge is a global packaging design competition open to students and non-professional packaging designers organised by SCA Packaging.
Participants are challenged to take a broad perspective and have to come up with an entire packaging solution: not only the primary pack, but also the secondary or transport pack as well as the point of sale presentation. Innovation & sustainability are key.
The 3rd edition starts September 2011. Participants can subscribe to different categories, representing different segments. For each category a number of participants will be shortlisted and invited to a workshop at one of the European Design Centres. Each Design Centre will subsequently select one candidate who will make it to the central final in Brussels, competing for the first price.
The price money will be reserved for each of the finalist making it to the central competition in Brussels, with an internship at SCA Packaging for each of the category winners.
2. About the competition
There is more to this competition than just sending in your work. Hands-on workshops for the semi-finalists in our Design Centres across Europe, factory visits, first hand insights from the packaging experts topped by a presentation to a professional jury consisting of experts out of the industry.
During the competition the participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work to the international customer base of SCA Packaging.
