The Challenge
Students and non-professional packaging designers were invited to participate in our Design Challenge 09.
Their task: Come up with a lean, smart – fat free – packaging solution for an existing product that can be bought in retail.
Participants were free to choose any product they can buy in retail and prove they can create a better packaging for it!
How did it go
By the end of January 2010, more then 50 projects were send it. Out of those, the jury selected 5 candidates and they were invited for a one day workshop in one of the SCA Packaging’s Design Centres across Europe during March 2010.
During the workshop the 5 finalists had the opportunity to work together with SCA Packaging’s designers learn more about POS, supply chain and optimising their packaging concept.
After the workshop the finalists were given a few more weeks to finalise their concept, and present their final work to the jury. Find out more about the finalists and who won.
There was also a online voting competition organised where users could login and vote for their favorite concept. Who won and the scores of the top 5 you can find on the voting pages.
